Born Alan Robert Rogowski on September 22, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ole Anderson was an American professional wrestler, booker, and promoter. Wikipedia Legacy

Anderson broke into the business in 1967 with the American Wrestling Association as Rock Rogowski, capturing the AWA Midwest Heavyweight and AWA Midwest Tag Team Titles before moving on to NWA-sanctioned promotions such as Jim Crockett Promotions and Georgia Championship Wrestling. Wrestling as a heel, he was known for his tough, no-nonsense style, and in 1969 joined Gene and Lars Anderson in the hard-hitting tag team known as the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, winning numerous NWA World Tag Team Championships. Alongside promoter Jim Barnett, Anderson helped turn Georgia Championship Wrestling into a formidable competitor to Vince McMahon's expanding WWF during the early 1980s. He later formed a new iteration of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew with Arn Anderson and was a co-founder of one of wrestling's most influential stables, The Four Horsemen, alongside Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, and Arn Anderson. He was inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame in 1994 and the NWA Hall of Fame in 2010 as part of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew. The Ringer + 2

After stepping away from the ring, Anderson wrote the 2003 book Inside Out: How Corporate America Destroyed Professional Wrestling, in which he voiced sharp criticism of the direction the industry had taken under corporate ownership. He passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 81, in Monroe, Georgia. Legacy Wikipedia
